The LaSalle Recreation Way Trail is designed to extend the Niagara River View Trail eastward to the Niagara Falls City line. Site analysis and design was done to ensure that all people in the neighborhoods adjacent to the LaSalle Expressway right-of-way have the ability to connect up with a continuous multi-use trail that will not only connect residence to other trail ways but will enhance neighborhood connections, provide safe alternative modes of transportation, connections between bisected streets and provide enhanced streetscape and presence through new vegetation and trees while providing a safer and cleaner neighborhood through stormwater management and phytoremediative plantings.
